For Vinny, and Every Child After Him

Vinny was 2.5 years old when he drowned on a family vacation. He had always used a puddle jumper in the pool — and he trusted it. When he got back to the water without it, he expected to float back up the way he always had. He thought he would be okay.

Children can drown in as little as 30 seconds. Vinny's story is the reason ISR with Daphne exists — because the ability to roll and float could have given him those lifesaving seconds.

ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) teaches children to self-rescue. If a child enters the water unexpectedly, they learn to roll to their back, float, and wait for help. It is the only research-based aquatic survival program of its kind.

Daphne Mattingly is a certified ISR instructor serving Grayson and surrounding counties in Kentucky. Her sessions are always one-on-one — never group classes — because survival swimming is too important to leave to chance.

How the Program Works

ISR lessons are short, consistent, and private. Most children complete their survival skill sequence in 6–8 weeks. Every lesson is one-on-one — Daphne and your child, no distractions.

Daily Consistency

Lessons run 5 days a week for 6–8 weeks. Each session is approximately 10 minutes. The short, repeated exposure is the foundation of ISR's method.

Roll-Float-Wait

Your child learns to roll to their back if they enter the water, float independently, and wait for rescue — a skill sequence that can save their life.

1-on-1 Only

No group classes, ever. Daphne works exclusively with one child at a time to ensure complete focus, proper technique, and individualized progress.

Session Pricing

ISR requires a one-time registration fee paid directly to Infant Swimming Resource. Lesson fees are separate and billed through Daphne. Returning students renew each season at a reduced rate.
